Strange, he looks very far from brittle.
As with most pie flogs this last one - the assured B2B and "dynasty" announcing flag - hit harder than usual. :(

Poor bugger has been through a lot of GF pain over the journey. It's after a few of these losses that the Collingwood supporters go postal. Maybe that's what drove Didak, the pain of lost premierships.

The comment was directed at a north supporter.

But more applicable to Collingwood supporters.

And Collingwood supporters could not even count the entirety of their GF losses on all their fingers and toes, even if they were naked.

Collingwood shouldn't play Grand Finals - Should just hand the Cup to whoever they are playing............So much for becoming the Manchester United of the AFL

MAN UNITED WIN THE PREMIERSHIP - COLLINGWOOD DONT

1 Premiership in 20 years Collingwood sound a lot like Blackburn Rovers

Here's a cartoon after Collingwood lost the 1937 GF to Geelong, note the last panel.

Wow, that is uncanny.

Obviously Collingwood haven't changed.

70 years of blaming umpires.
The Collingwood culture.

How many times have you heard a Collingwood supporter b---h about the first game Collingwood played Geelong this year.

Mate they whined about the umps more often than a conference fullroom of Englishmen.

Could've, should've, would've but didn't.

Sort of the explains why Collingwood just can't get over the line in grand finals, could have, should have, would have.

The first game was the umpires' fault, the second they weren't trying, and the GF they were underdone.

At no time was any side better than Collingwood.

The call of "Baaaalllll" is prominent at Collingwood games too and has been for 70 years. Followed by whining about umpires not paying the free

What concerns me deeply is that your post could well have been a quote from a smug Collingwood flog and nobody would be able to differentiate between them.

Except that a Collingwood player got the Brownlow but 22 Geelong players got the flag........

Same as in 2002, one Collingwood player got the Norm smith and 22 Brisbane players got the flag.

Oh the premiership's a cakewalk.

And in 2003 1 Collingwood player won the brownlow but 22 Brisbane players won the flag...

But seriously, the substantial gulf in scoring shots between the two teams aside, an umpiring mistake robbed the pies on the Round 8 win this year. In Round 24, they weren't trying so allowed their closest rival to beat them by 96 points, fair enough.. It's all about September. They limped over the line against West Coast but players were underdone so we can write that one off.. The "machine" flicked the switch in the prelim and powered over the Hawks in the prelim which obviously meant that the premiership was a cakewalk.. Then they brought injured players into the granny due to lack of depth and got horribly exposed.. Nothing there suggests that Collingwood weren't the best team in 2011. The premiership was a cakewalk... Oh wait

Blaming injuries isn't also new for Collingwood in GF's.

In 1952, the cats flogged Collingwood in the GF.

Here is a cartoon from the week before that game:

But it wasn't even their own injuries they are blaming the loss on. The premiership was a cakewalk until Podsiadly went down. If he didn't dislocate his shoulder, leaving the Cats one man down and structurally weakened , Maxwell would've had someone to go to.. Third man up needs an opponent we all know that.

I've never heard of a supporter base blaming an opposition injury for a loss.. I guess theres a first for everything

yes it does. Geelong in the late 80's, early 90's. Chokers of the highest order.

LOL we won one minor premiership in 1992 and even then we weren't outright favourites towards the end of the season. Collingwood this year though were about as certain as Richmond to win the spoon last year . Bice attempt at a deflection flog.

Ah, we're better than all of you irrelevant clubs. We're better at finishing top of the ladder, better at winning games, better at making finals. Stands to reason we're better at losing GFs as well.

Your envy is irrelevant too, although while you're gabbling on Bigfooty a Pie supporter is pinching your car.

This gives me a chuckle too..
Our main forward goes down before half time and it's a blow for the opposition...???
A massive WTF?
Or just Colling-would limp-dicks out of excuses as to why they lost the most assured B2B in history and rolled over like a group of impressionable schoolgirls to a bunch of more experienced older men on their last tilt at glory.
Just beautiful... :D:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Stands to reason we're better at losing GFs as well.

Ahhh, good 'ol Colling-would rationale... :)

This thread was fantastic value early on, now it's devolved into trolling Pies fans what what you think they might be thinking about the year

I suspect it will get bumped up next year regardless of whether Collingwood actually produce or do their usual Colliwobbles.

Relative to the sheer amount of gloating, smug and arrogant posts we've all had to put up with between Oct 2010 and Sep 30 2011, I think most Pies supporters on the bay (and elsewhere) have been let off the hook big time...

And to many, the circumstances that unfolded to deny this bunch of fly by nighters back to back flags which many felt was an entitlement, make the 2011 Grand Final our "favourite Collingwood grand final loss" of all time. However, it's all subjective and others feel earlier losses were of higher quality. Each to their own

Maxy, in order to "let off the hook big time" you would have to at least have the opportunity to give it to them.
The failure of most of these ferals to appear and the abscence of almost all of the bandwaggonning ferals to appear has mad eit impossible to have a go at them let alone let them off the hook.

A few of them have appeared but there are many more MIA. :D

Even post '10 Premiership, the bulk of gloating, with smug and arrogant posts that we all endure STILL seems to come out of Carlton fans.

Short of a few ring ins that got excited about the Pies being a good side, the Bay world was actually pretty light on Collingwood floggery, especially when compared to some of the shit that Carlton fans spewed

As for the part where we "felt" that Back to Back was an entitlement, that's just bullshit you're making up. If there is anything you learn as a Collingwood supporter... Flags are won on Grand Final day, not in July. What you "THINK" we felt we were entitled to is your own business.

It just so happens you're wrong
