Blight was an insane genius player and coach. Easily the greatest gift North and SA has given the big league.

He actually ended his career at Collingwood
We somehow got hold of him, draft maybe, did he ever front up? Sublime footy player, I wished he did play for us.

I recall a dark day at Vic Park, some of the goons at the Yarra Falls end were racially abusing him. This was the era of Winmar and later Long, I guess they were frothing at the mouth in the Social Club too. One flog near me was muttering about land rights an meths and every time I told him to shut up he'd wait a bit and start again. Every time he said something it seemed like McAdam kicked another goal. Eventually this was pointed out to the little bastard and he did shut up (I think he left at 3/4 time). I think McAdam dropped a lazy seven IIRC, just one of a couple of occasions he destroyed us.

We traded him to you in 1996 for Bradley Plain. McAdam didn't play a game for the Pies and Plain played one game for North, kicking one goal. Both were delisted at the end of the season and never played again.

That would have been round 10 1993, North Melbourne's last ever game at Victoria Park. McAdam kicked 9 and North won by 83 points.

Thx for the correction, bugger me he could play.

edit-had a quick look, saw three things that would be reportable or at least free kick+50 metres let go by the umps. We had a cracking midfield but North were too strong on the day. Previously we had monstered North who had some skills but were a bit gutless. Pagan turned that around in about 5 minutes when he took over: we came the thump here and bit off a bit more than we could chew.
