I played a social round at Surfers Paradise Golf Club today with a bloke from Melbourne who was up here with his mates on an annual drinking holiday. He got sick of drinking and decided to play golf. I shot 89/78 (par 71 I think). A double and a triple on 7 and 8 at the finish ruined my round. Not bad considering I hadn’t played for 3 weeks.

Included a three putt par after I hit the green in two on a par five.

there is nothing worse than days like that
i had 31 points a month or so back - with 39 putts.

The practice putting green at my club is getting renovated at the moment and my putting has never been worse. Haven't had time to get out during the week for a hit so turning up saturdays and not having had a putt is just a recipe for disaster.

Funny is, I am happy with 22 putts at times.

Getting used to the greens up here is very difficult. Long putts go halfway or rocket past. And grain, some downhill putts just stop if into it.

I think $125. But I negotiated an affiliate rate…like one of ours guys had reciprocal rights. Not sure what the rack rate is, maybe $150?

I was at Sanctuary Cove on Monday/Tuesday. I thought about asking if I could play as my wife stayed there for work from 5 nights but the rain on Tuesday discouraged me.

How “interesting”? 29 markers are ones who are capable of smashing their marks. It’s a fairly massive insinuation - if you are suggesting they doctored their scores?

Don't mind if I do. Might just have to play some golf after and the next morning while I wait for my flight home.
