LEGENDS at Moonah today……course in great condition, greens are magnificent, soft and true but I just could not read the pace. Completely different to what I’m used to, hard and fast.
33 pts with 40 putts , 2 wipes.
Highlight was driving the par 4 11th, 260mts, with my Mini driver, lowlight was the subsequent 4 putt on the same hole.

The handicapper was way too generous with one of my sons….he ended up with 42pts, and I’m not going to hear the end of it for the foreseeable future.

87 off the stick at Hamersley today.
4 rounds left in the year to reach my last goal set for 2024.
Goals I set
Make an eagle - have hit 3
Break 83 - done it 3 times, with a 77, 79 and 81
Less than 30 putts in a round - 5 or 6 times, 28 today, 3 or so times since I started using a square to square putter
Handicap (18 Birdies Handicap) Under 15 - Have it down to 15.4 atm, moving south at a decent rate the past couple of weeks. GA handicap is in at 19.3, only updates when I play a PGN round, which isn't very often.
Rounds at Maylands, Secret Harbour, Meadow Springs and Wembley (Tuart) to see out the year

Didn’t play in the comp as neither of my boys have official hcps, so just played a social stableford rd.
I was the hcp’er and foolishly said to my youngest he could have a GA of 20, which put him out to 23 on the daily….next time he’ll be off 10!

Every time I play golf I ask myself 'why didn't you go for a mountain bike ride instead?' I always enjoy that.

Donny, you are in a significant phase of your life. If you start setting precedents like not golfing when your partner is crook, your future playing opportunities will be significantly compromised.

A disappointing 32 points at Maylands today, considering I was on 21 at half time. Lost all ability to hit an iron on the last 7 holes. Bright point, only 29 putts.
