He may have to be a sacrificial lamb by the Giants when they re-sign Jeremy Cameron. He is a very, very good player, but I don't think he is irreplaceable for The Giants (like Jezza), they have others like Haynes who can do his role

Reckon The Swans should be all over him.
Whitfield will end up performing that role.

What's funny?

Probably the assumption that the Beams money is going anywhere other than re-signing Moore and DeGoey.

I daresay Grundy's deal may have been back ended in the knowledge of the Beams situation as well.

Collingwood will still have one of the tightest caps in the league, I can't see them competing with other clubs with a mountain of cap room for a HBF demanding $750-$800k a year.

And they claimed they had Tom Lynch. Their BF board had TL in Pies jumper. They think everyone wants to go to Eddieland.

You’d be foolish to make presumptions on any club’s salary cap going into next year. Collingwood themselves have a mountain of unsigned players to deal with, there is some chance of unearthing enough to make a play at a bigger fish.

Agree - there is always a way. How many big named recruits have nominated a club to be then be told - sorry our salary cap is full, maybe try a club down the road.

Surely you’d rather try and lure a kpf who isn’t ****ing useless before you go after your 30th mid/half back flanker

I know for a fact the Bulldogs have made an offer to his management.

They rate him highly and have cap room, they also want to target an indigenous player to mentor Jamara Ugle Hegan. There will be silly money from North to get him though.

Does he need an Aboriginal mentor because henis Aboriginal?

Not that he needs a Aboriginal mentor, it just helps.

I also know for a fact we missed out on Impey, Wingard and Jack Martin which was a negative influence that we didn’t have any indigenous players on our list.
