Like I said if we finish bottom four and gain a top 5 pick compo then great but I'm not so sure we will. apart from Saad and McKenna we didn't lose much with Joe and Fantasia

Isn’t this a fallacy though??

The only major ‘loss’ for Essendon from 2020 was that of Adam Saad. Could be offset somewhat by the (re) introduction of Dyson Heppell to half back.

McKenna hardly played, Daniher hardly played, Fantasia hardly played.

I don’t believe it be a fallacy and the betting reflects that. 2020 their were 9 teams shorter for the spoon - 2021 there is just 2.

You’ve taken a step backwards to go forward. A bottom 4 finish is not such a bad thing as you rebuild.

If we're finishing bottom 4, I don't believe we will. A top 5 pick in a strong draft is good enough. We won't be getting more than that value-wise as he'll likely go to a finalist. A top 5 pick is better than two picks in the teens.

Not debating the odds on us finishing in the bottom handful, m talking about us losing much from the 2020 group compared to what we will have in 2021.

That group got you 6th from bottom. It’s not that extreme to suggest having lost a few you’ll be bottom 4. In saying that I can only see GC jumping above you. Personally I think you’re better then North, Crows, Sydney, and Hawthorn.

I think Essendon will not be great shakes in 2021, but I also don't think you will finish bottom 4 either...

McCartney was asking for 3x firsts rounders for Cameron no one was saying he was hard to deal with.

Only reason Dodoro cops it because he works at Essendon if he was at another club no one would bat an eye lid and claim him as best in the business
