NO TROLLS Zorko Sledge Towards Petty Revealed

So, we're now accepting as fact that the sledge was along the lines of "I hope your mum dies"?
And we're accepting as fact that Petty's mum is not terminally ill or sick (confirmed by his mum).
And we're accepting as fact that Zorko was also sledged, as nobody from Melbourne has denied this?
I know people are wired differently emotionally and we can't tell other people how they should feel about something, but how does a made up comment, with no basis in reality, make you cry? I could definitely understand if his mum was terminally ill, or if it was the originally rumoured comment about his sister. It's still a very ordinary thing to say to someone, regardless of circumstances, but if it's something as childish as that, with very little chance of coming true, it shouldn't really bother him.
My 10yo and 13yo kids know not to say something like that to someone, so I'm sure we can all agree that Zorko isn't exactly a mental giant, but that sledge is just laughable.

If she's not in fact ill it changes it completely, it makes it a nothing comment.
I think in general Zorko is a flog, very good footballer but a flog.
If we take what Caro reported last night as gospel then what I've learnt is that Zorko, despite, imo, him being a flog, is staunch. He stuck by the adage that what happens on the field, stays on the field and has copped the wrath of the football community while the Melbourne footballers are a bunch of sooks.

How dare you be correct!That in itself would cure global warming, imagine the energy we would save on charging devices and computers for these virtuous souls to display their higher morals . The modern generation like to judge everyone, but one thing I’ve noticed about the righteous, virtuous, perfect people of today who judge, is that they don’t seem to think for them selves and just jump on the latest bandwagon.

I wouldn't say it makes it a nothing comment. It's still a sh*t thing to say to someone, but it shouldn't elicit an emotional response if there's no basis to it.
But everyone's different.

We are planning to schedule Zorko for a morning show tell all on friday before Melbourne plays Sydney that night. We will recommend Zorko to name all Melbourne players and say word for word what was said on the field. It's only fair this gets deeply discussed in media, talk back radio and online forums prior to the game. Gawn wanted this to be a line in the sand moment for the game, we need to get to the bottom of this from both sides.
Might give some leg up to Sydney too, who knows.

He went off half-cocked with seemingly none of the facts and began raising the issue very visibly during the match and then did on-field interviews directly after the match which caused it to blow up. Perhaps you want to get some of the facts first Alan. What a moron.
Simon Goodwin seemed to know what was up in his presser because he didn't really want to speak about it and was pretty classy.

Im all for not judging a book by its cover. However, you even listen to his statement in the last 24 hours or so and it shows who he truly is.
He knows he is in the public eye and carries on the way he does on a football field, opens himself up for criticism , whether people know him personally or not
Sure you have probably slagged off your fair share of players in your time on these boards

Weird, really? Aside from online social forums, who perpetuated the 'bad rumour' for their usual sole objective of promoting further discussion, debate and most importantly outrage..?
I'll give you hint via a process of elimination - it wasn't the MFC or BFC or Zorko or Petty or the AFL or the ALFPA or anyone directly or remotely associated with any of these people or organisations...

So Zorko said I hope your mother dies which is low but means nothing really and Melbourne plays went at him for cheating on his wife I mean makes Petty seem weak to be honest

It's a rumor directed at his mother or his sister. If he cares, it doesn't take much to diffuse it really. But both the players and the Melbourne footy club marched to the drum beat and went really really hard. Gawn was even talking about it mid-week as a "line in the sand" moment !

Now I'd love a Zorko tell all as a follow up to this one. I wonder if Melbourne players would disagree with him stating what was really said to him on the field. I also look forward to Alan Richardson and Goodwin fronting up press trying to explain it all and how upstanding citizens their players are, every time they take the field.
Except the fact Gawn decided to comment about it to the media on Tuesday after both clubs said they were happy to move on. He could've just not answered the question.

Well, it didn't stop anyone from carrying on with a pile-on last Monday. Now suddenly we don't want to do that anymore because it's the other side that may have done something equally bad and we need to wait for facts. We should all remember to take a deep breath and move on lol.
Gawn said this is a line in the sand moment ! We need this to be analyzed to its core now. He set the course this week !
