Footy News as it HappensThe Australian Indigenous side has been defeated in the first test against Ireland after an Australain fightback failed in the final term. The Irish won by 22 points 57-35, leaving Australia needing to win by 23 points or more in the second test. You can see Highlights from the test here.

Tour organisers are under fire after taking only 21 players, leaving just 20 men after Lance Franklin went home to attend a friends wedding.  It is hoped that Patrick Ryder will join the squad in time for the second test.  International Rules  allows for 15 players on the field at a time. Ireland used 23 players in their win over Australia on Saturday.

In Trade News, Jesse White has formally moved from Sydney to Collingwood, in a somewhat complicated trade that involved West Coast. The Eagles traded picks #6 and #44, to the Pies in exchange for picks #11, #31, #49. The Pies then traded pick #44 to Sydey for Jesse White.

Daniel Cross will play at Melbourne in 2014, with the former Bulldog signing a one year deal to play under Paul Roos.
