Another week and which team is top dog is again no clearer. The Dallas Cowboys are the form team in the completion, but will they Romo it like always? The Patriots, Ravens, Packers, Lions, Eagles, Chargers, Cardinals, Colts and Broncos are all waiting to pounce. Speaking of pouncing Aaron Rodgers has thrown his hat into the ring alongside J.J. Watt, DeMarco Murray, Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers for MVP honours.

For once the Thursday night match-up wasn’t a blow-out instead coming down to the final play of the game. It was fitting in the end that Chris Jones blocked the field goal to win the game for the Pats as last year he was the one that lost them the game last year. It seems this Jets team just can’t quite get there, just can’t take off if you will (I’m aware that’s a terrible pun). (25-27) Patriots
The Falcons have had their wings clipped for sure. The Ravens on the other hand are up and about and flying at 5-2 although nobody would know it. They have to be the least talked about 5-2 side going around, but if they keep performing the way they are then look out AFC here is your smoky. The Falcons are bad, just like the rest of the NFC South suckfest. (7-29) Ravens
Kirk Cousins get benched in favour of Colt McCoy, yes you read that right Colt McCoy I think it’s safe to say any thoughts Cousins had of starting have gone the way of the dodo. In short both these teams are incredibly underwhelming and terrible. It was lucky it was a close game with the Redskins winning on a field goal with the last possession, otherwise it would’ve been unwatchable. (17-19) Redskins
It looks like the NFC West is going to eat itself alive, I’m more than okay with that. It took 2 huge special teams play and some ballsy calls from the Rams to overcome a slumping Seahawks outfit. A fake punt return for a TD then a fake punt on your own 18 they are big plays. The Seahawks have dropped to 3-3 and have looked average these past few weeks, they need to get players back in a big way otherwise they will join the fight for a Wildcard berth. (26-28) Rams
The Cleveland train came to a screeching holt as they faced the juggernaut that is the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags notched their first win of the season to hopefully give their fans something to smile about during the week. I like Blake Bortles, but he currently has a 1:2 TD:INT ratio and if he keeps this up he won’t be the starter for much longer. But enjoy the win Jags fans, Browns fans get those paper bags out, especially you Brian Hoyer after that performance I DON’T WANT JOHNNY MANZIEL. (6-24) Jaguars
What has happened in Cincinnati? Their good performances are becoming as rare as the tigers they are named after. Injuries are playing a big part but that was just woeful. Indianapolis on the other hand are on fire, recording their 5th straight win. Andrew Luck tore apart the Bengals defence and I would have him in MVP contention but I feel he still turns the ball over a little too much compared to Rodgers, Manning and Rivers. (0-27) Colts
Vikings fans are quieting down on the Bridgewater train now after 2 bad performances from the rookie QB (some of them even said he would beat Green Bay). The Bills are finding ways to win, but that might not last with serious injuries to running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller. The rest of the season could rest on the shoulders of Kyle Orton and he’ll drop the ball quicker than Jacoby Jones. (16-17) Bills
Ryan Tannehill had his best game as a pro continuing on from the strong second half performance against the Packers. The Bears are struggling to say the least having not won a game at home all season. Brandon Marshall called the performance unacceptable and it surely was. The Bears are now 0-4 on the season when Cutler throws at least one pick, not a good sign when Jay is your QB. (27-14) Dolphins
The Saints led 23-10 with 3:38 remaining and managed to lose. Seriously? At home? Come on man. The Lions front 7 are possibly the most impressive front 7 out there as they are winning games for their team. The offence is struggling at the moment with Megatron out and Stafford forcing passes to lesser receivers. The Saints at 2-4 are still the best team in the NFC South and that’s just depressing. (23-24) Lions
Aaron Rodgers had his way with the Panthers as the game was over by quarter time as the Packers put up 170yds to 15 and 21pts to 0. Cam Newton was hassled all day as the Packers unleashed their ‘NASCAR’ line-up that contained Newton for the majority of the game. The Panthers desperately need help in the secondary and at WR and as it stands they might just win the NFC South by virtue of having the best record so far 3-3-1. (17-38) Packers
The Chargers ran into a Chiefs team playing for their season basically and it didn’t end well for them. Alex Smith (whom should still be with the 49ers) led a masterful 53yd drive to give Cairo Santos a shot from 48yds to seal the win and he did so. It was a game the Chargers could ill afford to drop with the Broncos playing lights out right now. (23-20) Chiefs
After being kicked from pillar to post during the off-season the Cowboys led by DeMarco Murray have shut up a lot of doubters. For the seventh straight game Murray rushed for over 100yds breaking Jim Browns 56 year old record. It was a better showing for the Giants than last week’s debacle against the Eagles but I think they’ve seen the division slip out of reach with that loss. Coughlin and Manning are on the hot seat. (21-31) Cowboys
It was the Peyton Manning show with Manning having a shot at surpassing Brett Favre’s all time TD record. He did so emphatically, beating up on what is an injured 49ers defence but he did so in clinical Manning fashion. If you want to watch something amazing watch DeMarcus Ware’s sack where he fake spins past Joe Staley making him look like a rookie and Von Millers spin sack, just crazy stuff. “I look good. I mean, really good. Hey everyone! Come and see how good I look!” – Ron Burgandy and the Denver Broncos. (17-42) Broncos
An implosion would be the best way to describe what happened to the Texans in that one. Up by 10 points in the second quarter everything went pear shaped as the Steelers forced turnovers and rallied to lead by 11 going into the half. It was a depressing night for Houston fans as they needed that win to stay in touch with the Colts, the Steelers also need the win to stay in contention with the Ravens. Also just in case anyone had forgotten J.J. Watt is still a beast. (23-30) Steelers
