Does anyone stand a chance against Hawthorn?

Carlton 4.11.35 def by Hawthorn 27.11.173 (ES) (N)
“If this isn’t rock bottom, the people running the joint have no idea.”
“Admittedly, Carlton’s first choice centre half forward line – pictured below – were out for the night, and that would have made the result closer, but what a win.”

“Terrible. Oh well always next week.”
“Not sure Hampton gets a game next week. Palmer is also unlikely. Buntine and Barrett?”
“The positive is we can play much better than this. As a relatively young side and club, handling big build ups is new territory. We have not performed well in games like this, at least not early. You can see the young guys are feeling it out there and just need to settle. All credit to Geelong too, they have turned up to play.”
“Blitz tiring towards the end – 33 hitouts is his best stat there. Halfway through the 4th, had attended a game-high 57 ruck contests. That’s a lot of damn running!”
“Strange listening to our game on radio and watching Suns live. Sounded like we did what needed to b done, happy that the next gen stood up and the vets were still leading by example”
Adelaide Crows 19.11.125 def Gold Coast SUNS 12.8.80 (AO)
“Good:
Lever is a gun, how good will he be in another two years?
Laird ( is he the better Rory?)
Charlie ( they named a medal after him)
Sauce centre work
Jenkins initiating body contact
Running out the last quarter
The way two tall defenders didn’t give up after a dirty first half, it is good to see.
Bad:
Mackay: if Jaensch was available he wouldn’t be playing, Wigg might get a game before years end if he keeps on serving up weekly shit sandwhiches
Hendo: body contact issues shit me to tears ( did do a few good things but his bad cost us goals)
Brodie Martin ( you goose, I had the Crows 1-39 and you kick a goal out of your arse with seconds left)
Shaws first half, got spooked by one bad kick and lost confidence ( better second half)
Fumbling
Ugly
Missed some easy shots which could have killed the game
Abletts injury ( hope it isn’t serious)
Disposal efficiency, we really need to work on that all summer this year”
“Shaw and Russell yet again no impact. Where is this run that Shaw supposedly provides? I keep hearing about it but never see it. ”
“Lemmens was poor so was Shaw and Russell. Matera and Mckenzie were really good i thought, best games for them this year. First time this year both Lynch and Dixon have had good games. Usually one or the other. Zac Smith and Sam Day were also pretty good.”
Richmond vs. Fremantle (MCG) (T)
“1) Livid with the umpiring. Rance free was the pinnacle of lot. Having said that, the players need to try to have more discipline (to stop the iffy ones) and stop wasting too much energy appealing to the umpire after the decision.
2) Lambert was solid. (Add him to finds of KMac, CEllis and Lennon showing something and we’re building a decent list);
3) Houli shouldn’t be hung out to dry but geez, why deviate so far from the system? Maddening to think Freo chipped down the centre at least 4 or 5 times I saw with success from full back. Houli didn’t hit it flush, got caught up in the breeze, telegraphed it, ended up being to Lambert out numbered with no cover for the rebound. Why didn’t we kick better for goal?
– I liked Dimma’s response where we need to move on and not let the result affect what we can do in the remaining games.
I hope Conca comes in too, however saw him well after the game, still in his gear. He has a ice pack on his hip/groin and looked pretty sore. Going to guess it was just the game’s bumps and bruises, and glad not the hammy, but was surprising. The mo looked no better up close. Played with zip and intensity in the 2’s however I only saw the first half. If fit, I’d get him back in.
– Shattered but weirdly encouraged. Let’s see what we can do against the Hawks.”
“I’ve only just calmed down. Screaming so loud my neighbor came around to make sure everything was all good.
Mundy 3 VOTES!”
“I don’t know what his stats are but, anecdotally, I think Crozier might be Freo’s most reliable set shot for goal. ”
Essendon vs. Port Adelaide (ES) (N)
“Frustrating loss because we were so close, but loved seeing Laverde and Langford kick multiple goals, Browne’s late goal got me up and about, Edwards getting one as the sub was nice too, we’ve got something to look forward to.
Also **** Ryder”
“Solid win. Good to come away with a victory and a ground we don’t like against an opponent we’ve struggled against in recent times.
It was from the sublime to the ridiculous for much of the night. Looked awesome for 10-15 minutes and then utterly awful for 10-15 minutes. It was a game of momentum and when Essendon had it, we just looked completely out of it in terms of intensity and composure. ”
Brisbane Lions 5.8.38 def by North Melbourne 16.14.110 (G) (N)
“And to top it all off, the German Club’s fryer broke!”
“Terrible performance, everyone looks lost.
We are kidding ourselves if we think a KPF will fix us.
We are rotten.
Can’t blame the kids for wanting out.
Can’t see any positives, for those saying that Luey/Martin beat Goldy is a +Ve get a grip. It took 2 players to nullify 1. That’s a loss in anyone’s books.
What is our game plan? Someone needs to tell the players- they looked lost all over the ground.”
“Positives
Percentage boost
Back in the 8 for now
No injuries
Jacobs taking another scalp
Drew kicking straight for once
Amazing tackle pressure by Turner and Garner
Boomer playing well in his 400th
Negatives
over umpired game which didn’t help the spectacle
Gibsons usual turnovers
Thompson turnovers”

Western Bulldogs 15.14.104 def Collingwood 13.8.86 (ES)
“Hunter is good, Hunter is great, we surrender our will as of this date. ”
“Great win we ran so hard. Lachie was immense, best game for the club, Daniel did some nice things too.
Fair fight in the crowd then near the cheersquad!”
“Yeah I was right next to it. We won that too!”
“Great win, a few of the outside types really stood up today, Biggs, Hunter, Crameri. Good games.”
“5 losses in a row? Feels more like 2005 than 2014 all over again.”
“Moore the big positive. Do we have the worst tap ruckmen in the league? How did Witts and Grundy struggle against Tom Campbell?”
“Lost my cool today.
There are so many players in this side that shouldn’t be there and they’re taking spots from kids who might actually have a crack. Fasolo, White, Goldsack and Kennedy are the ones who really need a kick up the ass and should be back in the twos next week. Jack Frost wouldn’t be far off.”
Melbourne 6.10.46 def by St Kilda 12.11.83 (MCG)
“What the heck did I just watch?
Good: Jack Viney
Bad: weather
Fugly: everything else.”
“Ugly:
Get rid of the thing Tyson, FFS.
vandenBerg giving 3 goals away, two with sloppy tackles. Wasn’t subbed out early enough.
Handballing it backwards, and backwards, and then further backwards. Then turnover, goal. Repeat. ****.
Fumbling. Everywhere.
Playing Garland on Riewoldt with McDonald in the team.
Garlett’s set shots.
Hogan’s set shots.
General field kicking.
General handballing.
General marking.
Umpiring. Shizen.”
“Besides the 2nd quarter a very good effort today.
Paddy the obvious highlight.
Thought savage and Dempster were super.”
“6 wins, 2-3 times what many so called experts reckoned we’d get. Got the job done against an inferior team, happy with that. McCartin and Goddard both looked good, will be a force at opposite ends in years to come.”
West Coast Eagles 15.11.103 def Sydney Swans 7.9.51 (PS) (T)
“Was impressed with how Sheed worked his way into the game today after a quiet start.
Barrass was okay but it’s a shame he missed a few marks he would normally pluck. Once he’s more accustomed to the level then he’ll be a beast. Good signs.
Priddis and Sinclair were both excellent, and this is coming from somebody who hasn’t always liked either.
Hill was soft for the most part and didn’t look right with his shoulder. Hello, Newman!”
“+ Ruck tandem was phenomenal, Nic is so good at non stat stuff and moving the ball forward at all costs. Sinclair’s best game for us, played well last week aside from goal kicking and looks to have cemented the spot beyond a shadow of a doubt
+ Darling started well and was a presence at ground level. Cooled off a bit but everyone had patches today
+ If you are reading this, Brad Sheppard is better than your team’s KPD
+ Gaff quietly churns out his 30 plus, write his All Australian spot in with pen because he’s home
+ Priddis’ great year continues, a few dodgy disposals mixed in but ferocious at ground level and hit Kennedy lace out like we all expected
+ Sheed was very good and showed real poise at times, looks to have shaken the Priddis/Rosa/Selwood/whoever else 20 metres long, 30 metres high kicking style
+ LeCras broke the drought
+ Kennedy’s Coleman lead stretches to 12 goals
+ How good is it when we play average to below average football for large periods and still win by 50+
– Disappointing to let them back in, not sure if the pressure dropped or the Mitchell sub suddenly gave them first use but that was a brainfade that will cost us against Hawthorn or Freo
– Service to JK has been horrible the last few weeks, didn’t improve today for the most part
– Factor in the above negative, but JK has been pretty poor the last few weeks. Testament that he still kicks 3 a game, but hasn’t had a real head turning performance since JD came back
– Think Schoey’s sub was a strategy thing, hope there’s no injury there ”
“1) People will pathetically use youth and inexperience as an excuse despite the Eagles being younger and having less experience on average
2) I should never sit in the WCE bay again
3) If we lose Jetta we lose half the paddle we are using to traverse shit creek ”
“1. This will sound weird but positive signs. Thought the young boys all showed something at times.
2. Heeney is an absolute jet
3. Our leaders in the middle need to lower their eyes. Thought they started this in the 2nd half. ”
