Finals time is here and it promises to be one of the most competitive runs to the premiership in years. However, several key players are in doubt for this year’s final series, making punters think twice about this year’s AFL grand final betting 2015 odds.
Hawthorn winger Isaac Smith is unlikely to play in week one of the finals against West Coast, after he injured the medial ligament in his left knee in Saturday’s win over Carlton.
Sydney co-captain Kieren Jack is out for three weeks and will not be available for selection unless the Swans can make the Grand Final.
West Coast’s Chris Masten is facing a race against time to be fit for the Eagles’ clash with Hawthorn after suffering a hamstring injury and subsequently being subbed out in the second quarter against St Kilda on the weekend.
Western Bulldogs key forward Sewart Crameri is also in doubt for the Bulldogs’ clash with Adelaide. Crameri was subbed out during the third quarter on the weekend, after suffering a knee injury and a corked hip in a marking contest. The 27-year-old will have scans on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe is also no guarantee to return to the Docker’s side, with the Brownlow favourite set be put through his paces during the week before the club makes a call for this week’s match.
