North Melbourne Coach Brad Scott has launched an impassioned defence of suspended small forward Lindsay Thomas, saying that Thomas is “paying for sins of his past.”
“We felt it was a tackle gone wrong, correctly paid as a free kick,” Scott said at Arden Street on Thursday afternoon. “The umpire clearly thought it wasn’t reportable, the MRP did, but we are pretty clear of the view that if we challenged it, we would have lost because it was Lindsay Thomas.”
Thomas was suspended for one match after a head-high hit on Bulldog Lachie Hunter in last Friday’s match at Etihad Stadium.
Does Brad Scott get a please-explain for essentially questioning the integrity of the MRP re: Lindsay Thomas? He might be right, by the way
