Three players share the lead in the chase for the inaugural Gary Ayres Award for the best player of the AFL Finals series after the qualifying and elimination finals.
The award follows the same formula as the AFLCA Player of the Year award, with the coaches from both teams awarding votes from 5 to 1 for players from either team.
