It’s hard not to get caught up in the feel-good hype of the underdogs going all the way. There are generations of Doggies supporters witnessing success that hasn’t been seen in over five decades!
The Bulldogs have already snatched a four-point win over Sydney this season. The belief of doing it again, one last time, to get the ultimate glory, is most certainly there.
Sydney are the experienced finalists. They’re hungry for their own glory, but they’re limping to the line with their own cluster of battered and bruised players.
On the biggest of stages, can this young Bulldogs team hold up to the pressure and get the job done? Do they have it in them?
Safe to say, every AFL fan, barring Sydney supporters, of course, are willing the young pups over the line on Saturday afternoon. I’m one of them! May the fairy tale continue, right down to the happily ever after. Our great game needs the Doggies’ to win the big one!
