GWS star Toby Greene has been charged with his fourth offence this season by the AFL Match Review Panel, with the forward offered a two-match ban for striking Richmond’s Alex Rance.
As many commentators predicted, Greene’s poor tribunal record left him unable to receive the standard one-match discount for an intentional strike with low impact to the head.
The 23 year-old will miss matches against Fremantle and Melbourne.
In-form Brisbane midfielder Dayne Zorko was offered a one-week ban for striking Carlton’s Lachie Plowman, while Bulldog Jack Redpath was offered the same penalty for a jumper punch that made high contact to Gold Coast skipper Tom Lynch.
Zorko, Redpath, Lynch, Dom Sheed and Michael Walters were also fined for minor incidents from Round 18.
