The AFL Bottom 50 2017 50-31

It’s a highlight of every AFL post-season. Herald Sun Chief Football Writer Mark Robinson counts down the best 50 players of the year.

It sparks debate. It sparks controversy. It’s a feather in the cap of any player who can make the list. True recognition of the best of the best.

This isn’t that. This is BigFooty and we’re not so positive. This is the bottom 50 AFL players of 2017.

Each year Bay 13 regular Mofra counts down the players who didn’t quite cut the mustard in that particular year. Those who fell a little short of expectations.

It’s ruthless. It’s uncompromising. It’s justified.

Here are the rules, direct from Mofra:

My listings are final. If you disagree with me, you are wrong.
The order is roughly sorted in some fluid manner.
Players with less than 20 games in total are excluded, although there is some small allowances given for extraordinary spudness in the face of battle – especially for players who have spent extra time in the AFL environment and/or were first round picks.
Players who have not played a senior game this year are excluded, and only in extraordinary spudness in the face of battle can this rule be broken (the “Colin Sylvia” rule).
Weightings have been granted for those who are over-rated, over paid, divers, are noted squibs and/or who are overtly Gen Z/Hipster.
