The Suns will have to leave the subtropical Gold Coast to do battle on the icy goldfields in Ballarat against the young Dogs. Three captains are out with injury, the Bulldogs losing Easton Wood (replaced by Lewis Young) and the Suns sans Tom Lynch and Steven May. Gold Coast will be debuting two 2017 draftees in Charlie Ballard and Brayden Crossley.
