Scans have confirmed Jake Lever suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in Melbourne’s win over the Western Bulldogs yesterday. An innocuous looking turn left Lever hobbling to the interchange in the first quarter and he did not return to the field for the remainder of the game. After crossing over from Adelaide at the end of the last season Lever has been a crucial part of Melbourne’s back six.
