The third NAB AFLW draft was held today in Melbourne. Geelong, whose team will debut in 2019, had the first two picks which they used to choose U18 Champions MVP Nina Morrison and forward Sophie Van De Heuvel, respectively.
Fellow newcomers North Melbourne didn’t have their first selection until pick 25 because of the amount of mature talent they signed, including league champion Emma Kearney. The Kangaroos took Tasmanian twins Libby and Chloe Haines late in the draft.
