We’ve only just started the player movement season and it’s already off to a flyer. Several clubs have moved to sign free agents, new players have asked for trades but the biggest name of all is still yet to sign.

Reece Conca was the first player to move clubs. The unrestricted free agent has moved on from Richmond to join the Dockers on a three year deal.

Luke Dahlhaus didn’t take much longer to join Geelong. The small forward turned midfielder will add much needed pressure to the Cats’ attack.

The Tom Lynch saga is drawing to a close as he lodged his paperwork for a move to Richmond.

The Suns still have the option to match the deal which would likely cause Richmond to trade to get the centre half-forward to Tigerland.

Gun Geelong first year player Tim Kelly announced this morning, just hours after coming joint second in the Carji-Greeves Medal, that he would like a trade to West Coast.

This lead Geelong to release a short but strongly worded statement that showed if they could not facilitate a deal to one of the Western Australian clubs they would have Kelly play out his contract.

The Dockers aren’t letting go of midfielder Lachie Neale without a fight. CEO Steve Rosich stated that they would need more than pick four in return from Brisbane.

The Andrew Gaff story took a turn this afternoon. Many had expected Gaff to sign with North Melbourne after refusing to give the Eagles his signature for so long, but Tom Browne apparently has reported that he is changing his mind and staying in Perth.
