Do I think Jack Lukosius is the best prospect at Under 18s level I’ve ever seen?
Yes, yes I do. Christian Petracca was the next best, but Lukosius is on another planet for the things he is capable of at his age.
How does Sam Walsh compare to other midfielders of late?
He is probably the most complete midfielder of the past few years, with Hugh McCluggage the other one with few “weaknesses” as such. Walsh’s only knock I have on him is he can often overestimate his teammates abilities and place kicks in positions they can’t get to, or he can overcook the kick when at full speed, but otherwise he’s pretty complete.
Could Rhylee West play effectively as a small forward before moving into a full-time midfield role in the future?
He’s been playing forward for St Kevin’s quite a bit and yeah if anything it’s the best way for him to have an impact early on IMO. Just needs to tidy up his kicking and not overuse the footy. Up forward he is strong in the air, a penetrating kick so can kick from long range. Good one-on-one. More than capable of playing that role while working on his deficiencies.
