The 2019 Queensland Derby will take place at the Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday, June 8.
Dark Dream was the winner of the 2018 edition of the race, jockeyed by Tim Clark and trained by Kerry Parker.
The race is for three-year-old’s, at set weights, run over a distance of 2400 metres.
The first Queensland Derby was run in 1868 at Gayndah, with racehorse Hermit winning on that occasion.
The race was moved from its traditional spring timeslot in 1973, where it has been a mainstay of the Winter Carnival ever since.
The current favourite for the Derby is Nobu at $4.50, who is trained by Chris Waller.

Tom Berry rode the gelding in its last outing, winning race four at Kensington on May 4.
The racehorse has two wins from twelve starts this season, winning race three at Canterbury Park back in January.
The last time Nobu ran 2400 metres was race nine at Ellerslie in March, finishing in second last.
Mr Quickie has been placed second favourite at the price of $8.
The Phillip Stokes trained Mr Quickie was favourite for last month’s 2500m South Australian Derby, however finished in third place.
It would be naïve to underestimate the capability of this horse, after an impressive resume of eight wins and two runners up finishes this season.
Recent wins include race seven at Caufield on April 27, race nine at Mornington on March 23 and race five at Flemington on March 3.
Rounding out the top three favourites is Scarlett Dream at $9.
Trained by Mark Newnham, Scarlett Dream had an impressive run at the Australian Oaks Group 1 race at Royal Randwick, finishing in second position last month.
The filly hasn’t won a race this year however, finishing seventh in a Group 2 race earlier this month at Doomben.
Three racehorses sit equal fourth favourite at $11, those being Bobby Dee, Gem Song and Lord Arthur.
Bobby Dee was victorious in its last run, after taking out race five at Te Rapa over 2200m.
This was preceded by a third placed finish in a Group 2 race in Ellerslie.
Gem Song finished fourth on the Group 1 Doomben Cup race over 2000m, in its most recent run.
It was a winner a month earlier on the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic at Eagle Farm,
Lord Arthur won the Group 2 Championship at Ellerslie on April 20.
