Carlton’s AFLW future is bright, with five players representing the navy blue in the second iteration of the AFL Players’ Association’s AFLW 22Under22 squad.

Despite missing out on a finals berth, young stars Madison Prespakis, Grace Egan, Georgia Gee, Lucy McEvoy and Abbie McKay feature among the initial 40-person squad, which highlights the competition’s best young talent.

Alongside the Carlton quintet in this year’s squad are the likes of Alyce Parker, Chloe Molloy, Georgia Patrikios and Monique Conti, with 15 players previously named in the squad, while 11 are looking to be selected in the final 22 for the second time.
