Toby Greene has been suspended for three games by the AFL Tribunal, putting him out for the rest of the season, plus one or more games in 2022 if GWS do not progress to the Grand Final.

AFL counsel Geoff Gleeson argued for a lengthy ban for Greene’s aggressive “barroom” bump on umpire.

“The sanction should say that, when an angry and aggressive player walks into and bumps an umpire with barroom swagger, there is a serious consequence,” Gleeson said.
