Veteran key forward Levi Casboult has officially announced his retirement from AFL football, concluding an impressive 15-season career at the highest level. Casboult played a total of 198 AFL games, spending 12 seasons with Carlton before joining the Gold Coast SUNS for the last three years.

A Journey of Dedication and Gratitude

The 34-year-old decided that the time was right to focus on his young family after dedicating so many years to the sport he loves.

“It’s been a long time coming. I can look back and say I got the most out of myself, and I left no stone unturned over 15 years,” Casboult said. “I have met so many incredible people, and I will always be grateful for everything my career has given me.”

Family has been a significant source of inspiration for Casboult, influencing both his life and career positively.

“My greatest achievement is my family, and I think that coincides with when I started playing my best footy. It gave me such a good perspective on life and a greater purpose,” he shared. “I’m now looking forward to weekends with the family, caravanning together, watching kids’ sport, supporting Hayley as she chases her dreams, and embracing my favourite role yet—just being Dad.”
