A rare double hamstring injury will sideline Collingwood’s star midfielder for two months minimum. Treloar initially seemed to be suffering from cramps when he stumbled and fell running the ball along the wing of the MCG during Sunday’s clash with Carlton. The midfielder was lying prone on the ground and flailing both legs in discomfort.
"He's done his hammy."
With the assistance of trainers, Adam Treloar headed to the bench after this.

Scans today revealed that Treloar, who had never suffered a soft-tissue injury before, received tendon injury to his left hamstring and a strain to his right. His left leg will require surgery and threatens to end his entire season, though Pies will be hoping to regain him before finals. Collingwood football manger Geoff Walsh labelled the situation a “freakish occurrence”.
Collingwood will now be without Daniel Wells and Treloar for the rest of the home and away season. Two midfielders that provide much needed drive and creativity for the Magpies. With upcoming crucial clashes against Essendon, West Coast and North Melbourne coach Nathan Buckley will once again have move the magnets around due to injuries to maintain his side’s winning form.
Collingwood’s Next MONTH:
Suns at Metricon
Essendon at the MCG
West COast at the MCG
North Melbourne at the MCG
Collingwood currently sit fourth on the ladder and with dangerous sides like Port Adelaide, the aforementioned Eagles and Sydney in the top eight a home final could be a critical difference to a potential flag or also-ran status.
