Dustin Martin remains in the hunt for the Brownlow Medal after escaping with fines for two incidents from his side’s fiery clash with Brisbane on Sunday.

The Richmond superstar was fined for making ‘unreasonable and unnecessary contact with an open hand’ to the face of Brisbane’s Nick Robertson and also for rough conduct against Lewis Taylor. With two fines for minor indiscretions, Martin will face an automatic one-week ban for any further low-level offence committed this season.

Robertson, meanwhile, was suspended for one match for head-butting Richmond skipper Trent Cotchin and fined for kneeing Martin.

Demon Bernie Vince has paid the price for his poor record, handed a two-match suspension for striking Crows forward Eddie Betts. Vince would have ordinarily escaped with a one-match ban, but his record doubled the sanction. The Melbourne veteran was also fined for making forceful front-on contact to Richard Douglas.

Taylor Walker and Jackson Trengove were also fined for minor incidents.
