1. Port are all at sea. Friday night’s game was a poor end to a disappointing season which saw the Power miss finals after being 11-4 coming into the home stretch. With Boak, Westhoff, Gray and Ryder nearing the ends of their careers and star winger Jared Polec likely to depart in the trade period something needs to change the course of this footy club.
2. The Cats’ dangerous midfield can wreak havoc in September. Geelong’s midfielders kicked 12 goals between them on Saturday. It might have just been against the struggling Suns but it is a reminder of the damage that Dangerfield, Ablett, Kelly, Duncan and Menegola can do.

3. Bulldogs will slingshot up the ladder next year. They still don’t have all the pieces to challenge for a flag again but their top end talent is elite and they’ll get an easy draw.
4. Collingwood’s patchwork forward line will need to be much better than they were against Fremantle if they want to make the most of their double chance.
Brody Mihocek clearly enjoys taking on Fremantle. Another three goals today, including this beauty which gave us the lead. #FOREVER pic.twitter.com/CbmCxa83OK

5. The Crows have found another one in Jordan Galluci. The hard-running mid has real forward nous. Ended the game against Carlton with four goals including this beauty on the run.
