Chloe Molloy has informed Collingwood Football Club that she will be leaving the team to join another AFLW team. Molloy was selected as the third overall pick in the 2017 AFLW Draft and had a standout debut season in 2018, winning both the AFL Women’s Rising Star Award and the Collingwood Best and Fairest Award. Over her six-season career with Collingwood, the 24-year-old played 47 games and scored 37 goals. Molloy was also named an All-Australian twice, in 2018 and 2021.
Collingwood’s Head of Women’s Football, Jess Burger, thanked Molloy for her contributions to the club and wished her the best for her next chapter. Burger stated that while the club is disappointed to see Molloy leave, they are confident in the depth and talent of their current playing list.
