The AFL JLT practice match series kicks off on Thursday night with a showdown of old rivals at Carlton’s spiritual home.
Carlton’s new additions Mitchell McGovern and Michael Gibbons will run out in navy blue for the first time. Big man Matthew Kreuzer will be missing as he recovers from a knee injury.
Essendon has named star recruit Dylan Shiel on the forward flank and Joe Daniher returns to full forward after a bout of osteitis pubis that saw him miss much of 2018.
