Wiggo 5 goals, in seniors next week? Good to see Ellard in the best. He deserves a chance.

The delusional over rating over their players just never ends with these dills.

From this

The Bendigo forward line is possible the strongest part on the ground for either side with big Jay Neagle wanting to prove a point after being disapointedly dropped from the senior team last week. Opposed to the giant is young carlton rookie Simon White, giving away 5 - 6kg, 4cm in height and 30 odd AFL games of experience, he (white) will have his hands full. Starting out at CHF is young Jake Carlisle who has impressed many at the club since being drafted in the '09 National draft. Opposed to him will be young Josh Spiteri who will have his hands full. Out on the flanks will be a good contest, with Essendon listed rookies Taite Silverlock and Marcus Marigliani showing some promise in the early parts of the pre season without having a look into the senior side. Opposing them are experienced AFL players Joe Anderson and Chris Johnson.

In the middle of the ground will be a very even contest with the experienced Richard Hadley and Steven Browne holding the slight edge over the young Brent Prismall and recent draftee Kyle Hardingham. The ruck contest will be one to watch, young 208cm bean pole Christian Bock has been handed the number one ruck position and he is going to have a good game opposed to another young ruckmen in Sam Jacobs. Should be a very good and even contest, am hoping for big things from the mature bodied Stuart Crameri, David Myers and recent draftee Kyle Hardingham.

Quick tip: Bendigo by 4 goals

Goals: Neagle 4

B.O.G: Prismal/Myers

Carlton fans should do themselves a favour and watch a future superstar in the making (Hurley) :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Hurley, Neagle and Carlisle in the one VFL forward line? That is pretty much AFL standard. The midfield also looks pretty strong and should be able to match the Bullants'.

To this

How could that bombers team get beaten so easily. I really feel out fitness staff should have a lot to answer for. Even when playing reserves, the essendon players don't seem to be able to run games out.

I would have expected a better result than that.

Players like Myers, Davey, Prismall, Laycock, etc should have been able to dominate at that level and get us closer. It's a worry.

It's just amazing that it still surprises them how crap they are.

Wow! Wiggo kicks 5 against the Bummers magoo defence! They must be absolute garbage since Wiggo is the worst kick in the AFL!

Funny stuff Sin.

Bendigo were an absolute rabble last year.

So the Bombers suspended Hurley from the home and away season, yet he can still play in the VFL?

That'll teach him!

Quite a good win with Austin, O'keeffe, Fisher, Hampson and Grigg missing.

Plus the absent Bower and Judd giving AFL games to two other Bullants players.

Quick match report

I was focusing moreso on the new crop of Blues.

Casboult
Lined up at FF. Looks to have lost a few kilos since arriving at the club.
A couple of shocking shots at goal during the warm-ups. Ball drop seems to be the main issue. Leads hard and fast in a straight line and crashes the packs hard, reminds me a little of a young Josh Kennedy. Needs to work on his lateral movement, but this will come with time.
3 outstanding marks in the 3rd quarter and 2 goals from the 50m line. Looks very very promising, but still a year or two off.

Kerr
Started on a HFF and spent most of the day there. I thought he did ok to involve himself in the game for the most part. I can't quite see what he brings to the table just yet (not overly quick or tall, average by hand and foot), but his tackling and endeavour were good. I hate to say it, but he has a bit of Trent Sporn about him the way he moves around. Overall, an ok effort today.

Davies
Had a really poor 1st quarter, initially playing across HB, then moving on and off Neagle in a BP. A shocking kick, then a fumble, followed by another turnovover by foot in the 1st, but seemed to play a little better as the game went on, but had a fairly average afternoon overall after showing some encouraging signs against Sydney in the practise match.

Dare
Played loose in defence for most of the afternoon. I really liked this guys game. He looks courageous and confident and dared :)thumbsu:) to take players on when he had the ball. A couple of footskill errors didn't detract from the fact that he seems to have good alround skills and reads the play well. For those who haven't seen him play, I think he has a little Robert Murphy (Bulldogs) about him.

Cachia
Was really pleased to see him out there today. A real old-school footballer who is not overly quick, but seems to have time when he has the ball. I thought he was very Sam Mitchell like in the way that he twists and turns when he has the ball in tight, while deciding who to dish the ball off to. Spent most of the day in the middle, laid some strong tackles and was confident in his disposal of the ball. Along with Casboult, Tuohy and Dare, I thought he was one of the more promising players today.

White
Wasn't impressed by his game today. Was easily beaten by Hurley, who is however, a gun, but just didn't seem to be in the contest at all. Had a lot of help from Dare, Anderson plus others for most of the afternoon and I thought he should have done better. Can't see him playing for the Blues in the near future.

Tuohy
Wow. Composure, sure hands, a great kicking technique, confidence and amazing balance. Zac is a better and more polished version of an early Marty Clarke. If he can develope as quickly as Clarke did, I can't see any reason why he cannot become an AFL player. Well suited to a BP type role.

Garlett
Sensational today. Kicked and set up goals, tackled pressured etc...the type of game you would expect from your small forward. I would suggest Yarran have a good game tonight as Gartlett is knocking on the door.

Anderson
Had an absolute shocker. Was beaten comprehensively by Hurley when, when on a few occassions was opposed to him, was caught 3 or 4 times with the ball and his disposal and decision making were, for the most part, not up to VFL standards. Can't see him getting another game for the Blues based on todays game.

There has been some speculation during the week that Scotland might not take his place in the side tonight because of a sore knee. Anyone attend the Bullants game can report whether Joey Anderson played. He would be the logical replacement if he doesn't come up?
