That’s a great question.
They're independent events, so no, the chances of a win don't increase with every loss. Like tossing a coin - a string of heads doesn't make it more likely the next toss will be tails.

As good ( for North) as North look, Melbourne look abysmal. Hardly any structure forward of the ball.

Norf can still Norf themselves here.... Although Melbourne looking ordinary, their forward line looks bog average.
When you have 0 consecutive wins then the probability of getting a winning streak of length n is (0.5)^n assuming 50% probability of winning any given match. But once you have an winning streak of length n it is still 50% of making it n+1.
Melbourne are going to struggle this year.
They did a good job against the Giants last week, but conditions were favourable to them.

Spot on. And it will be another warm day as well, our players have been use to these conditions all summer.
We probably have the most lethal forward line in the AFL.
Assuming no significant changes to it, an opposition is going to probably kick 90-100 points to win.

And I’ll add that Melbourne to 3/4 time lead the inside 50 count 47-37.
I’ll guarantee if we have 47 inside 50’s, we won’t have 8 goals on the board. Melbourne are very inefficient in the forward half.
