There’s this weird instinctive part of me that wants to head to the WC forum to give them a bit of emotional support in this time of turmoil.

Problem is, I’m struggling to think of how to preface my sympathetic post any way other than “look, you’re obviously the second most appalling team in the league, but…”

My entire family and extended family are west coast members/supporters. I hope all the bad things in life happen to them and nobody else but them (from a football POV).

The nic nat stuff, inventing ducking, dean cox...

I'd sit in their members area from time to time and a few of them conspired to get me kicked out by security just because i was hoping essendon would come from behind and win in hird's last game. I was cheering on scott lucas as he kicked 7 in the last. The way they carried on you'd think i was shouting out "heil hitler".

I don't think they've come to terms with the tactic of switching play either. They'll usually complain and say "stop stuffing around with it and just kick it long"

Little did he know I had gathered up a few Roo boys around me and belted out our team song on his answering machine, so that was the first message he listened to once getting home..

I mate and I actually used to be Eagles members. We went along to every game and just barracked for who ever they were playing.

As horrible as we've been, and we'd already had three 10+ goal spankings in the first 6 rounds, the ladder says the Eagles are in deeper shit.

Many predicted the Eagles would finish bottom 6, but no one would have predicted they would fall this hard. Rock bottom with a percentage of 55%.

After the Nic Nat mark and goal they were going to North merch stand and asking for Nic Nat jumpers.

The only reason he had an opportunity to mark it, was from some classic Selwood (I think the twin they had) ducking on the wing followed by one of their umpires taking great pride in paying it.

We don’t need to go through all the decisions of the prelim we played at Subi again, that was a dark night in the history of bias umpiring.

Let them suffer. I hope they fold.
