Good effort given the conditions and number of top ups. For what it’s worth I thought Matho and Berry were good (obviously), Cox’s best game for the club? Probably Connor MCs best game for a while, showed desperation and poise. Liked Michael and Triffett. HSmith looked ok for a skinny tall guy in very wet conditions.

Caught about a half today but was there a reason Davidian Usois (sp?) didnt play?

Uosis came off with an injured hand or wrist last game I believe.

Berry - his speed, strength and clean hands at the stoppages are a class above.
Cox - holds his width, and is very vocal in directing teammates once they win the ball at the stoppages. Puts his head over the footy when it's his turn to go, and is always pushing back into defence to help. Wore number 8 today, not sure why.
Mathieson - another great game. Covers the ground well and doesn't blaze away with his kicks, which were his biggest issues at senior level. However I cannot confirm whether this is an improvement or not, as I haven't watched him play reserves before this season.
Wilmot - cool head in defence, strong one on one, keeps his feet, good run and carry and hit a few pin point kicks in horrible conditions.
Michael - finds space easily, long and fairly accurate kick, keeps width at the contest but attacks the footy hard. Never finds himself too deep in defence so not sure how good of a stopper he is.
Madden played well, Coleman is building some form, Tunstill was quiet. Lane and Smith held their own against an ex AFL listed ruck.

My son is home sick this morning and he put on the reserves game from the weekend and he had a question which I couldn't answer and I thought one of you boffins would know. Why was Cox not wearing his #42 jumper and wearing Eli Smith's #8 and where was Eli?

For my interest, why would one player be allowed to wear another players number. I always thought if say you went through your jumpers b/c of blood or it being ripped etcetera that the club had spare high number jumpers but this one seemed very odd and something I couldn't answer.

Few questions marks over this Cox character. Stole Ely's number, takes the piss claiming to be 190cm, who knows what other skeletons he has in his closet...:oops:

In all seriousness though, I want him in the firsts almost as much as I want Berry and Robertson there.

Well this is hard to watch. Camera at ground level and looks like it’s a block from the ground. Coaches box obscures the forward pocket

ESmith back in number 8. kicked the first goal. 42 out there.\

add scores down the bottom you miss a lot of play :)
