Gee I wish we could have won a McClelland instead of making four Grand Finals in a row. Oh well.

The McClelland is the missing piece

how much you paying the umps ?

Nice melt.

Stop getting caught HTB to start with, that will fix your free kick issues.

Then you can work on not dropping uncontested marks.

Lily P and Orla were outstanding. Grider, Koenen, Campbell stood up all game. We probably weren’t at our best for parts of the game but they held us together. Dawes is just a game changer. Hodder was vital. Looking Harthill’s game more each time she plays.

We will go in as underdogs next week but that probably suits us best. Just make North have to deal with our pressure and chaos.

Crows might want to start holding some marks
Amazing the difference a bit of pressure makes. Even on the occasions they had time and space they played as tho they had none.

I don't think the conditions were to blame; didn't really look to get dewy and slippery like I thought it would. My own hands are usually a pretty good guide and they are still dry as a bone when generally they clam up to buggery in high humidity.

I can feel the Roos choking already....Go Lionssseesssses
Well on the "having a hard prelim" stat we are well ahead. Also we won our 3rd quarter tonight by more than the Roos did, and we won our 4th while they lost theirs.

So on a (very) short term form timeline things look promising for us.

Don't get me wrong I fully realise I'm clutching at any straw I can here 😂

Bit of a coaching masterclass at halftime with the changes to Grider and CSvarc's roles, full credit to Starce and the coaches for that. And for the players on implementing the vision.

3 wins and 3 losses please.
It's in our hands!

Adelaide is three from four. If we win, three from six is clearly the best AFLW club. 2 from 6 at least keeps us in the conversation.

Hardly. She has mastered the art of the double bounce. I think this deserves its place in the coaching manual.
One of the girls in our U11s team bounces the ball by throwing it up and letting it hit the ground. It gives all of us absolute fits. Maybe she should give lessons.

And this is legal I presume?

Reminds me of a Gaelic football story actually.

Apparently one year at the Australasian championships, the South Australian team was full of Aussie Rules players, and none of them knew how to "solo" the ball. (This is where you kick it to yourself while running at full pace. You have to bounce every 4 steps but you're not allowed to bounce twice in a row so you solo every 8 steps. The Irish do it as second nature but teaching us Aussies is a nightmare!)

Anyway they got around this by having a bounce, and then instead of soloing, they'd handball up in the air in front of themselves, wait for it to bounce (you're not allowed to catch your own handball on the full), and then regather and play on.

As Ray Warren might have said, "that is legal, legal, and legal."

But it did force the GAA back in Ireland to rewrite the rule book!

No one's pulled her up yet but given it's usually the U13s and U15s umpiring I'm not going to make any claims with full certainty.

pretty sure it's poor form to quote from another board
congrats
It is because it gives them a notification to come and reply per how us Brisbane mods choose to handle it.

Unfortunately for you he didn't quote, he screen shotted - so you didn't receive any notification, you're just loving our board so much you might want to take out a membership.
