If offered 8-3 before the season I don't think there's a Carlton fan alive that wouldn't snatch at it.
Even 7-4 would've been amazing.
But 8-3 and being a kick and/or a free kick away from 9-2?
Unthinkable before the year

I reckon we will be disappointed in the pick we get offered for Dow but will flick it for a player who will add depth in another area of need. Like the Samo trade last year which ended up okay for us.Re Dow Bluemour: makes perfect sense for North.
Not sure who we'd take from their list so it might be better to ask for a draft pick and use it to chase a Lachlan Sholl type.
We're being linked with Amon too, so seems we're on the lookout for wingman and our window to go deep into finals seems to be opening up - strike while it's hot!

Inb4 some doofus head suggests straight swap for Ben McKay.

I'd be trying hard to grab North's 2nd for Dow. It's the best we could do and we should take it and run. He'd go well in their centre square setup. He was a North fan too IIRC so this is probably quite valid.
No player swaps. We have to cut our list to a certain size and we have just added 2 players in the MSD. There are reasons to keep virtually every player we have so there will be some painful delistings to come.
North don't have a second round pick - they traded it to Richmond for CCJ.

And if they did 0 chance they give it for Dow given it'd be around pick 20.

We went into the season with a list spot spare,, so we only have to cut one spot, which won't be difficult
Doesn't matter. Any club who wants Dow will want him because they think they can get him cheap. Nobody will give up a pick that high for him. Late 2nd rounder absolute max but more likely a 3rd.He's contracted and squeezed out of an elite midfield.

Doesn't mean we have to accept a offer though.
c09 is one of the goodiesDoes c09 usually have a good strike rate? Recent post last year had us delisting Boyd, Newnes and Parks. Who cares, it's a new Bluemour at the end of the day
NM showing interest in Dow
Bugger, guess it will have to be Dow and #14 for pick 2...North don't have a second round pick - they traded it to Richmond for CCJ.
I think some clubs will see him as a walk up start in the centre of the ground, being held out by a beast of a midfield. If the rumours are around now, it's because they are seeking out a player with 18 months left on his contract, not because we are shopping him around. Time will tell. Hawks traded #19 for Jono O'Rourke.
