It’s probably been said.
But I’ll say it my way…..
Oi Son of Curly, find me a ****ing gorilla defender in the lower leagues, one we’ve all missed, one that wants to make gravy out of highly rated, highly paid AFL forwards, a man, a bloke that can split heads, spleens, livers and never quivers.
There is one out there, ****ing find him and present him to Michael Voss, pronto!!

So one that will get suspended for 78 weeks?

It's probably not the worst idea in the world, as we're only going to need them break glass in case of emergency anyway.

Up there, though. I'd hate to see the career of a promising young key forward - Max King, for example - wrecked because we picked up a thug whose only way to compete at AFL level is intimidation and violence.

BT won’t know what to do with himself if Corey Durdin Sam Durdin, Charlie Curnow and Ed Curnow play in the same game.
Just quietly, I'm not sure we'll see Ed Curnow back in the senior team.

He's not getting a game ahead of our 'fab 5' without injuries. And he isn't a forward/defender.

Maybe as a defensive winger instead of Newnes/Cottrell?

Yeah, I think Ed will find it very hard to crack the seniors again. It says more about the team this year in terms of quality/depth than it does about Ed as a player.

I reckon he gets a couple of games towards the end of the year as sub. Would be a good one as can play wing / on-ball/ half forward and means one of our developing guys play reserves rather then spending 120 mins on the pine.

Handy depth.

Honestly if we were going into a big finals game and one or more of our main mids were out, I'd feel more comfortable with him in the team than guys like Carroll and Dow right now (assuming he got over his injuries).

You just know Ed can stand up to the physical heat and pressure, whereas those younger boys probably won't.

Don't think his kicking is that bad either...our old game plan was to slam it on the boot. Has proven to be a good goal kicker.

And will, like most, look better in a stronger team. Who doesn't!?

There's definitely logic in this, but Ed is too good a player to be sub IMO. Would much prefer to see him play a full game but I think he'll struggle to break into the team

anyone else exhausted following this ******* club?

Not this year. I was as disappointed as anyone last week but I think the coaches will have learned as well.
There will be bumps but we will bounce back. This team has matured and more importantly it wants success and believes it can get it.

Yeah this year has been our best since donkeys years and highly highly likely we play finals so I can’t understand the plaintiff’s claim. Great time to be a bluebagger.
