Got a bad feeling about this game.
Has a Doggies beat up written all over it.
Could end up 22 goals to 10.
Hope I'm wrong.

Does Blanck have the speed to play on Naughton?
This was noted in Blanck’s draft analysis

“If you watched Blanck throughout the season, both for Eastern Ranges and Vic Metro, the standout feature of his game is his closing speed, a vital component of a key defender's game. It is no surprise to see him clock sub three seconds on the 20m sprint in the pre-season, but the most interesting result was his first 5m - an unbelievable 1.001 seconds, ranked first of all combine invitees that tested. It also helps that he is a clean spoiler of the ball, often getting a full fist to the ball and cleanly punching it, rather than slapping it away. These two strengths make him a very solid key defender prospect.”

Time to unleash the Blanck.

So we are at round 15 essentially a 2 month block of footy left straight after a bye. Start of the year always wanted to see games pumped into the kids so would like to see DGB, Ward, Mac, Butler, Blanck play in most of the games left and a Long debut. Then they will have plenty of time off and another preseason ……. will be much better off for next year!

You might need a rethink. Below table is from beginning of the stadium to today.

It's one of those things that raw stats don't really reflect.

Marvel has been a poor hunting ground because we generally play worse quality opponents there and churn out poor quality matches. Considering St Kilda's general lack of quality for pretty much half the time Docklands has been in use, it's not a resounding success that we only manage to barely win more games there than they do on average.

No English is a huge loss for them. It would have been an interesting match up between touches around the ground (English) v hitouts (Reeves).

Despite him and Smith being out their midfield will still run rampant. Hopefully Lewis catches on fire and we nullify Naughton.

Weightman a huge loss too. He's a star.

If we get off to a good start, it could get interesting.

Lewis for Callow
Gunston for frost
Blanck for Hartigan
DGB for howe

Would like to squeeze Morris in. But hard enough with Impey out. Bramble is finding form so can’t see him being dropped (and we’ve given him a good run).

Think McDonald would benefit with more time at BH in midfield. Worpel needs to improve his disposal before being promoted. Finn likely in same boat.

We've won one of our last six at Marvel.

Losses included Essendon this year, and Adelaide last year. Both we should have won.

We've also been smacked by Saints by 10 goals twice in that run.

I'm going Friday, but home teams like Saints and Dogs at Marvel can really get hold of teams at this place.... Dogs are the biggest front runners going to.

Probably more than any other ground, this place highlights our biggest weakness... centre clearance and clearances. You can get scored on so quickly here. It's a massive game for our midfielders to stand up.

Here's hoping Jai gets another BOG and that Daicos for Rising Star nonsense quiets down a bit.
