Has everyone forgotten Kossy already?

The Kosi thread on the Richmond board is intriguing reading - they all start out so beamingly positive that they got a steal to now that they’ve seen him play are not remotely enjoying the addition to their list.

People forget the main reason we are Chol's third club is he doesn't get along with Dimma.
Yeh nah -It’s a one way street. - Dimma called him out on his his poor work rate and and that was primarily the issue - not that they ”didn’t get along”

My frustration is that he has some serious serious talent but appears happy to cruise through his AFL career on his god given talent and athletic attributes

Was more to do at some of the behaviour at the club ( once caught on camera ) that Chol complained about , and was pretty much told to 'get over it " by senior club members .

And we gave him a spot players like Vickery at the moment hopefully he improves.

Burgoyne had us and essendon, but the consensus was his knee was shot and he'd never make it. Hardly a marquee signing, and not a line of suitors lining up

Burgoyne's knee wasn't "shot", he was rehabilitating an injury at the time and was always going to come good. Essendon weren't involved. He was having some problems at Port Adelaide, an incident involving his brother, and decided he wanted a fresh start in Melbourne.

He actually contacted one of Clarko's assistants to find out if the Hawks would be interested. He chose Hawthorn because we had a few ex-Port Adelaide coaches who had followed Clarko over and he felt comfortable with them. I am a mate of the coach that he first contacted, so I know all about it. I possibly knew about Burgoyne's situation before Clarko.

I cannot recall the name of the player we had our eye on at the time, I know he was a tall, but the moment Clarko knew Burgoyne was interested in joining the Hawks, it was done deal. When potentially the best midfielder in the AFL contacts you looking for a game, you just get it done.

In other news, the sun will rise tomorrow ;)

Old Pelchen going out on a limb there
I would've thought it'd be hard to argue with his statement about them having better elite young talent (not necessarily closer to a flag). Wardlaw, Sheezel, McKercher, Duursma in the last couple of years. If they werent such a basket case and managed to hold on JHF as well, thats about as good as it gets.

The only comparable draftee we've taken in a similar time frame who has a similar level of talent would be Watson.

I don't believe McKenzie, Ward, McDonald fall into that category. Newc probably does. Another smokey could be Dear. Mccabe, possibly, we'll soon see once he gets his body right.

Honestly, I'm not that worried if we lose today (that being said I'm sure I'll be losing my head if we're behind late).

Really, it's round 6, we're not making finals this year and our goal is still twofold, get games into the kids, and develop a game plan. Winning a round 6 game won't change that.

I think we'll again be better in the second half of the year, as all players are starting to get on the same wavelength etc and we can get players back.

Fingers crossed we can get a win and build some confidence, but if not, hopefully we can at least play some good footy and find some semblence of form as the Swans next week looms large

An article which says the 19th team will win a flag before [this weeks whipping team hawthorn] but fails to mention 17th and 18th team are still to win a flag or even play finals in the case of Gold Coast.
Fremantle have had 4 top 4 finishes in 29 seasons

Sorry, confused article with another one. So it’s Pelchen who was a little dissappointed hawks 2008 flag might men less enthusiasm for his rebuild in motion at the time?
