Hard to know where he will end up. Love the effort, could not question that for a second, makes me think he will get the best out of himself. Not sure where that quite ends up as great clearance players can get their hands free to handball...and he had no handballs!!

I dont think there is anything wrong with him being dropped this week if DeGoey and Adams are back, but his confidence would be up and he should go back to the VFL and star.

He is strong in the tackle for sure. One thing I noticed at the end of the game among the other players is he just doesn’t have the definition and tone of an AFL weights program. Even against the younger guys like Nick D and Bianco. I think there’s a lot of upside. I thought he was cooked at 3qt but he had an influence late, which shows good mental strength. Think he will make it.

I could see him being a part of our 17th flag (2025), but probably not the 16th (2022).
I am glad you have changed your mind and now think we may go alright in sept if we get there and it is looking increasingly likely we will..

Do not listen to that Bullshit on the main forum most them are flogs with axe,s to grind tbh the fairest one,s were from the Tigers and Bulldogs and even Adelaide who we played were okay but Cats,Demons and Blues have some real slugs supporting them.

He does need some time on the weights but L can see him as full time member of the midfield group who will work hard to get there and stay there a fine addition to the club and a real country boy I am very pleased with all our recent draftees MaCrae and co are building a strong future.

I think we need a protector for Ginnivan now and we will need one soon for Nick as well now that people see that he can influence games, we are getting together some terrific recruits both young and mature I am over the moon ATM.

Kreuger is the ideal protector of Ginni up forward. I fondly remember him tossing oppo players around in a wrestle before he got injured.

100% agree with that he is the one with the hard edge in the team, it is going to be hard fitting them all in a but a fantastic problem to have.

Beau is a hard nut too as is Bruzzy but we have too stop them knocking Ginni about with impunity.

I said a little while back that when it came to the basic stats… possessions, tackles, clearances… that Carmichael’s inclusion would go someway to covering De Goey’s missing output in these areas

Was jumped upon for saying it. Yet that’s what’s transpired

So whilst there are naturally a couple of things he has to work on… the genesis of a very good footballer is there.

Was evident from his first VFL game that he was hard at it, prepared to run and had a knack for regularly finding the ball

Give him a full preseason and watch him go 🚀

He has had a good start but comparing him with De Goey is chalk and cheese. Take a look at Carmichael’s disposal efficiency. De Goey is an elite ball user.
