Let them do what they want. If they want to give us penalties equivalent to systemic doping and salary cap cheating for wearing a piece of cloth that any fair minded person would agree we should be able to wear every week then that's on them. Public opinion will fall our way exclusively.

It's a nothing issue. The only reason it's still an issue is because we have allowed ourselves to be bullied by the AFL for 25 years. It will only stop when we stand up for ourselves and refuse to be bullied.

Something substantial must be frightening the club. It can't just be because we are weak. This stretches from Bucky's time. I don't know.

Its not that they're weak its that they don't care. We're Teal Adelaide in Kochies mind.
It appears that the Club is distancing itself from the past, in order to start a century of being a club that is synonymous with black, white and teal chevrons, and that reference to the past, even for just one or two games a year, is a non-allowable transgression against the laws of nature that will never be acceptable.

Hey Port fans, I’m assuming you guys are the experts. Does anyone recognise the sponsor logo that’s above the numbers on the 2008 SANFL gurnesey? And does anyone know what the above number sponsor is on the back of the 2009 Guernsey?

From memory it was Local Celebrity. No recollection of what they actually did though.

Is the club gonna shed any light on what this “mystery special event” guernsey is? Surely they can’t pass off the STEALTH as a special event.

It would be a classic Koch era failure to read the room if they teased a special guernsey and then ran out in the stealth kit.

What happened for the Anzac Appeal game? Did we wear something special for that? Or is this just another in a long line of things we were going to do but didn't get our shit together?

People that say the AFL grew out of the old VFL are wrong - it hasn't grown out of it yet.
There's been no 'AFL' CEO with the vision to make it a National competition, not just for TV money, but a competition every team across the country has a fair chance of winning, since Oakley. Clubs will always follow their own self-interest over that of the game, which for Victorian clubs means maintaing all the unfair advantages they have (beyond the GF at the MCG always (except when not and you have a dickhead coach who blows a oncetwice in a century opportunity)).

I've long since accepted it will only change when the Victorian clubs are no longer in the majority. It's why Port must support a Tassie side, even if short term we lose some players to it. It's why anytime I see anyone say GC should fold I shake my head. Most especially I get frustrated when I see Port fans wanting to keep the likes of North and Saints around (those closest to folding/merging/relocating). EVERYTHING we want (if not a happy clapper) - the PB's, more chance of a Premiership, a fairer competition in general - the removal of the Vic club majority is our best chance of getting. Anything the club or we as Port supporters can do, to help drive Vic clubs under we should.

Pretty sure we just wore our regular home guernsey with that “A” ANZAC badge on it.

It just seems a bit odd that it’s Round 19 and we’re still none the wiser.

I will chuckle heartily if it ends up being the STEALTH kit.

A Tassie team will always be included in the Victorian fold.
