Name 3 things he does better than Gus.

Kicking, decision-making, composure.

Gus still has way too much confidence in his left side. I've seen him kick about 15 on the full this year. Even in the grand final, he kicked 3 on the full in that game alone. Despite his clutch goal which he'll be remembered for, he owed us a goal after spraying it on the full despite late in the 3rd despite having about 5 open players heading inside 50m he kicked it on the full trying to hit harmes in the pocket. Moments later, he had a 15m kick to hit another target inside 50m and he almost missed his foot entirely and it scrubbed along the ground. And then he kicked it on the full having a shot when the game was admittedly iced in the last quarter.
He does a lot of things amazingly well, but he can be very sloppy.

I'm not isolating one game. This is just a part of the player he is.

And before anyone goes on a tangent and can't comprehend what I'm saying, he's still a good player but I don't trust him by foot or his decision making like I can with Salem. Yes, Brayshaw is a better interceptor and does a lot more physically but I'm answering your question.

Decision making by foot as a reason is a cop out imo. Name a terrible kick who's a great decision maker? You can't. It's just rolled into being a nice kick. Make a good kick it's also a good decision, miss and its a bad decision generally.

Right Salem's kicking and decision making ain't better than Gus and id argue that Brayshaw is possibly the most composed player in our team.

Brayshaws better positionally, better defensively, he's a better mark, he's tougher, he runs harder, better contested, better courage.

Salem's had one top 5 bnf finish in his career, Gus hasn't ripped up the league so far but he's getting better every week. Salem's keeping someone else outta the team at the moment.

You can't stick to talking about something instead you just made up some story about Oliver because I'm guessing you want to get dragged into that because you can't actually talk footy properly. Salem is a reliable kick, but I think part of that is boosted by him almost always taking the safe chip kick option instead of taking the game on. Gus is much more of a risk taking with his kicks, and it doesn't always pay off, but when it does we get more from it.

I actually have a lot of love for an in-form Salem, and think perhaps a few are writing off the value of his performances last year, but clearly he's struggling to reach the same heights in 2022 after injury. Gus' value to the team is higher at present, especially with his ability to play multiple positions.

If both were OOC now, I'd be favouring the retention of Braysh as the priority, but I'm certainly not open to trading Salem and think he is one of our most important 10 players when firing.

Salem takes as much of a risk with his kicks than Jetta used to. You'll never see Salem ATM kick one 35 into the corridor

I'm taking Brayshaw. You asked for things that Salem does better. I told you. But Salem made the AA squad last year and should've made the actual team. I don't think Brayshaws season this season is necessarily better than Salem's last season.

Salem has missed 10 weeks with a serious injury. Obviously it'll take some time to get back into his groove. Heaven forbid a player have a form slump.

What are you talking about. You asked me a question. I answered it with actual examples providing an actual link. In your response, you didn't even address the obvious botched skills that I showed you of Brayshaw. If you have footage of Salem scrubbing balls along the ground or kicking it out on the full several times with basic skill mistakes then link me. You continually ignore evidence that is staring you in the face.
