Exit Plan for JK

The more I think about it, JK playing or not won't be the difference to us putting a dent in Freo's finals plans, and that's not an important enough of a reason for him to play.
Otherwise it's a meaningless game, so it is better for him to have a grand send off with a stadium full of WC fans.
If JK was fit like Hurn it wouldn't be an issue for him to play until the Geelong game, but he's clearly struggling to get up for each game.
At the end of the day, it will be his decision alone.

Since I’m flying back over Saturday morning, for selfish reasons I hope it’s the Adelaide game.

And when I really think about it, I’d much rather be have a send off in front of all our fans in a winnable game rather than in front of the Fremantle fans in a likely derby loss :(

He's gotta go out on a win.

I'm not in the habit of posting on other team boards, especially yours, but I weant to genuinely pay my respects to this guy. Exceptional talent and it's been painfully pleasurable to watch him destroy many teams including mine on numerous occasions. 100% respect to one of the best ever eagles.

I think he’s the eagles equivalent of David Mundy

Both players who are fiercely competitive yet play the game in the right spirit and very humble off field

I’d expect there’s very few Dockers supporters with anything bad to say about him just as Mundy draws very little criticism here. It’s a rare phenomenon between our two supporter groups

I’d put Pav in that basket as well. As much I enjoyed it if he choked on the big stage (was rare, 2013 GF he wasn’t great, but better than JKs 2015) always had respect for him as a player and his loyalty. Could’ve gone back to SA early to mid 2000s, and maybe helped the Crows win a flag, but stuck at it, probably to his own detriment. AA across all 3 lines is also hugely underrated, and if it was a VIC player, they’d still be talking about it. His commentary is garbage, and his wife needs to put a sock in it, but as a player, he was quality, and played the game as it should be. I still want to see them fail as a club, but I’ve got respect for some of their players, as I’m sure some of their supporters do for a handful of ours.

Yeah Pav was there as a player but not since

I think Alex Pearce would be pretty well respected amongst Eagles fans along with Andy Brayshaw from the current group

Can’t imagine Hurn has too many detractors from the other side

There haven’t been many of them, but for some reason I really liked and respected Roger Hayden. Luke McPharlin would be another.

My dislike of Pavlich overrode my respect for his achievements. Fyfe very much the same.

Having Pav on the boundary being salty AF at now being the 2nd best would be perfect.
The respect will be there Josh is a great bloke and largely admired by Fremantle people , But to directly compare these two players based purely on goals is very unfair to Pav . Pavlich played as a centre half back and midfielder during his career and at all Australian level . And Pav will not be salty at all and has already stated he celebrates Jk's achievements.
