Agreed. Highly likely Carlton and St Kilda will both fall over and Richmond could jump into 7th and us 8th, but I don't want that. We've had a s*** year and we need to cop it between the eyes. No wallpapering over the cracks.

Strong disagree. If we make finals it's because we've been good enough to qualify against the other 10 teams who don't. If you can play in September, you take that opportunity.

Mundy officially retiring. Could have been a Bulldog, oh well. Fair career too, probably doesn't get the visibility on the eastern seaboard he deserves:

Personally, I think Jackson goes, and in the same way we were linked to Bruce and Keath a long way out, all the noise of Lobb to us looks more likely than not to pan out, but there are always the Franklin/Mitch Clark trade destination surprises I suppose.

Not surprising given one of the first things he spoke about immediately after the grand final last year was about a 'dynasty'. Would be happy if he came on board as an assistant. Heck, he can pull on the boots down back for another year if he likes!
It's just straight up mental self-belief. Winning would've been a huge circuit breaker for them, and now they probably are ****ed for a while.
On the other hand, they could end up going into a MCG QF, everyone writing them off, and then pull off a massive upset
