Kennedy an absolute champion. If Buddy wasn't around he'd be regarded the best key forward of the last 15 years.

I desperately wanted us to trade pick 5 for Kennedy and everyone would have been happy. We held onto pick 5, drafted Jarrod Grant, and once every so often I think about it and have a little cry.

If I remember rightly, they were all the rage after Geelong used them in 2007. We used them and it didn’t sit well with us, no individuality, all about the team, it’s where Gia and Aker clashed over his handstand ritual.

You can’t exactly copy another teams success, different personalities, leaders etc.
