“Essendon look $1.05, but there’s a bit to play out” is going straight to the pool room, alongside Caro’s “The smart money is on the AFL getting their way and engineering a relocation”
I just love Tommy's twitter avatar. Looks like Federer was walking towards a friend out of shot and Tommy was wait for him to go by...

Thats not how non-compete clauses work. You can compete without signing for another club. Per my earlier previous posts on this issue, there is no use speculating on what they might/might not be.
You can also not compete while having interviews and dealings with a club. And that's what Clarkson has done with us and others.

Now that he's signed though, if he started work before 1 November with us, Hawks could say he's competing.

Just got a notification that someone liked a post of mine in the Kayne Turner thread. Why on earth are people in the Kayne Turner thread on a day like today! 😂

So timeline. Clarko arrived home last night and spoke with the family.
Decision was made last night with his partner, son Matt and the manager present and one of the the first calls was to Sonja around 7pm.

From there I believe special coterie members and ITK’s found out 9:30-10oclock however we’re sworn to secrecy and as we know Damo was promised the story at AFL.com and he broke it at 9am.

I have been told all along that he was guaranteed but I’ve been burnt in the past and didn’t truly believe it. Polo shirt rule applies all the way long.

As much as I was confident he was done I didn’t believe it until Damo broke it. What a saga.
Exactly as I said last weekend - once Barrett was on board it was done.

Hypothetical.

You have the best coach the game has seen in decades free on the market, with 4 flags in 7 years. He wants to return to coaching in 2023. He played most of his career at your club.

You have had a coach for 2 seasons but see no large improvement since about round 17 of the previous year. He is a nice bloke but questions arise on if he has the ability to inspire the players and set a standard that will lead them to the next step of becoming a power side.

Do you approach Alastair or not?

Yes.
