Hard to argue - we’ve lost some proven performers and the incoming players aren’t known quantities, even though we are optimistic. Looking forward to seeing how we go.Fox Footy predictions for each team this season, they don't think much about the team we have built for his season.
Bold expert verdict and predicted ladder range for EVERY AFLW club ahead of first 18-team season
NORTH MELBOURNE
Best finish: Semi final (2020)
Worst finish: 6th (2021)
Key list changes: A bit of change here, losing Kaitlyn Ashmore (Hawthorn), Daria Bannister (Essendon), Daisy Bateman (Western Bulldogs), Jess Duffin (Hawthorn) and Aileen Gilroy (Hawthorn). Subsequently, they've gone to the draft and VFLW for replacements.
Chyloe Kurdas’ expert verdict: “One of the criticisms about the Roos is that they’re very one-paced. That transition from mid to forward, there’s not a lot of diversity or change of pace in that. They did have Kaitlyn Ashmore and now she’s gone, while Daisy Bateman was a really good marking small forward who knew how to find the footy and she’s gone. They’ve lost two important forwards for them, but just the diversity up front I think they’ve struggled with and that change of pace through the middle to form a transition. They’re a solid defensive unit, but I just don’t know where the spark is going to come from that’s going to net them the goals that they need. I think there’ll be a top eight contender, absolutely, maybe top six. I think they’ll struggle to make top four with the other talent that’s there.”
Foxfooty.com.au predicted ladder range: 7th-10th
btw does anyone know, if our game this weekend is listed as Foxtel only, will it be on Kayo too?
