Welsh, made millions with dodoro. Hird worshipper. You couldnt make this s**t up. For the thousands upon thousands that hate our guts, mock our every move, it just gets better and better.
Laughing stock.
To my knowledge Welsh bought the Armstrong Creek land parcel from Bomber and Dodo - he was on the other side of the deal.

No?

Putting the potential jobs for the boys aside.

Too many are too quick to sink the boots into us, at every development and nondevelopment, as though we haven't been the lowest pressure, bottom 4 defence and bruise free midfield we have been under Rutten (who had 4 years to mould something).

Whatever happens from here sacking Rutten was 150% the right call.

right or wrong, the call was made and this board owns it.

They also need to do the right process for the next coach. Clearly there was a plan of sack Rutten, get Clarkson and that failed pretty quick.
But not a bad outcome. It wouldn't have been the right outcome and what we are doing now is what is needed.

So back the process, people doing and the outcomes that come from it. And ideally, barring any major catastrophes, stick with it for more than 2 years.

Mediocre management are capable of making great plans.

It takes excellent management to stick with them through some adversity to successfully implement the plan. It doesn't matter what industry.

Sure there are times where plans do need to be adjusted or trashed, but I've lost count of the number of times good plans are tracking, small amount of pressure or adversity presents and panic causes them to be trashed only to make another plan that won't be adhered to.

Sounds like our inability to absorb pressure is of more consequence off field than on it.

Fair enough. I hope you’re right.

To me though, it seems odd odd that a team whose commitment was questioned during the year is now being told to go on a trip to Spain rather than staying to watch the opposition battle it out in september.

But as I said, I am probably a dinosaur in their regard.

Well Dinosaur, it has been going on since the beginning of time. Here's Fletch and co., also in Ibiza. Just goes to show how hard the boys are trying to emulate the Bombers of old. 😑

I think it was the Rama book where that Hird character was leaving their accommodation for a morning run as Rama, Solly and McVeigh (broken collarbone) made it back. Gave them a glance and shake of the head. Maybe we should make him the coach?
