Yeah the more I think about it the more I agree.

They really couldn't stop us on 3rd/4th down outside the red zone all game. Williams catching underneath was getting them most times and then you've got Albert O who also made some big conversion plays, finishing through tackles (something Fant never did).

Interestingly they said on the call that Williams 10 yard catch the play before Jeudy was wide open on a cross play for the 1st. Have to wonder if his earlier drop and history of drops meant in the big moment Russ just didn't have the trust in him.

I'm glad Russ didn't target Jeudy. His earlier drop won me my fantasy football game by 0.6 😂

Great win for the Seahawks even though I only caught the highlights. Even when they are ridden off they are NEVER easy to beat at home. Good coaching also helps and Pete Carrol I really admire.

Courtland Sutton is also a star and will be a top 5 WR in the league this season with Russ slinging the ball deep to him.

Only saw bits and pieces of the game, but I did see Hackett calling time outs with a couple of seconds on the clock and the Seahawks doing kneel-downs to end the game. Salty much, Broncos?

As a Jets fan, it pains me to see Geno do well in a more "what could have been" type fashion rather than through any personal animosity towards the guy. Good to see that the Seahawks have stuck by him while he's done some maturing on the sidelines. There's a risk for Seattle that he's just good enough to get them to 8-8 (I know - that would be like winning the Super Bowl for the Jets) but not quite good enough to get them into the post-season (or, at least, deep into the post-season). However, for his sake, I hope he keeps it up and his shortcomings aren't exposed.

1st half he was lights out great.... 2nd half not so much

Skip hoping on my bandwagon, been saying it for 2 years old man... he aint that good anymore

Bayliss is a dumb ****. Russ is still good and worth what the Broncos paid. If this game was at mile high Broncos win by panels.

I wouldn’t take to much out of the loss at the death with a missed FG and all the penalties Denver got against them and being denied the endzone a couple of times by literally millimeters.

Russ will be fine.

Bayliss is just dirty Dak went down again as he loves him and as usual we paid him but had to really cause we don’t seem to focused on QBs and value like drafting a half decent kid as a back up. 😣

Also I've clearly missed it but I thought Aikman signed elsewhere and that split he and Buck up?

ESPN announced that Aikman and Buck had both joined MNF coverage, after ESPN did a deal with Fox to get Buck out of his contract with Fox (Aikman's contract with Fox had expired, but Buck had a year to go on his contract with Fox; however, Buck claims that he had told Fox that he wanted to stop calling baseball for Fox after this year's World Series, and apparently ESPN also employs Buck's wife).

There were some musical chairs among the commentators in the off-season. Al Michaels left NBC to join Amazon to call TNF games and Mike Tirico left ESPN to join NBC to replace Michaels on the SNF coverage with Collinsworth.

There were a lot of rumours that Aikman would also go to Amazon to join Michaels, but they fell through and once Aikman had been signed by ESPN, he lobbied ESPN to get Buck across as the play-by-play guy.

Hes top 12 good not top 5 good. Hes played like crap the past 3 or so of years from about week 11 onwards, like bottom 12 QB bad. Hes the main reason the Seahawks havent won a playoff game in that time. Shrinks as bad as Rodgers does post season but no one seems to give him the same crap they do Aaron weirdly.

Ive said it numerous times on here over the years, I just dont see the player he once was. Arm is weaker, mobility not what it used to be, makes bonehead decisions and a lot of his sacks are caused by himself because hes always looking for hero plays and the oline cant hold up forever

I hear you mate but I am not as critical on him yet!

This season will tell us a lot as to where he is at but if I was a Broncos fan I would not be worried yet at all.

They'll finish last in the division, 3rd at best.

Maybe and predicting NFL is like star gazing after opening week.

I reckon and could very well be wrong they finish 2nd behind KC and beat the Chargers by 1 game for the 2nd spot in the division!

Raiders are the clear last IMO with KC the clear top. What happens in between is anyones guess!

I did hear him being referred to as a "hall of fame" quarterback, probably by Joe Buck. I'm not entirely convinced that he's at that level just yet. Great start to his career, but he has come back to earth somewhat. Bit of a pivotal moment in his career, this season.

How is it that chism has the most measured take in here?

In 2014 Geno Smith once threw for 300 yards and had 3 TDs and no interceptions in a single game. I'm not buying yet based on half a game of football where the Broncos' D seemed still in preseason mode.

I agree on Sutton though....surprised he didn't get targeted more often....some of his receptions were on scramble plays today.

Sutton and Russ will be deadly as they gel together. Sutton is the Broncos version of Metcalf and Russ loves slinging it to these types.

I am always measured and just get involved in petty arguments to much with idiots on the Net.

Safe to say I am not doing that anymore as my passion has waned with sports along with family members currently either dying and falling off the perch left right and center you start to develop new outlooks on life and life in one’s early 40s is hard when family members you looked up to as a young child are getting to the age of no return and it changes your prospective a bit which is hitting hard.

Hence the quitting of moderation also. You quickly realize life is very short and arguing on the Internet is something i ain’t doing anymore.
