Would be a typical Jerrah move going onto 83yo next season and still thinking it is 1995.

Someone needs to shoot this campaigner.

Not sure Stephen is any better

You already know someone has pitched Jerry an AI that can replace him and run the team based on Jerry's decisions once he dies.

it has a core programing that is one of 2 options
Is this a smart thing
  • Yes = do nothing
  • No = do it.

You need to imagine hearing the "do it" command in Jerry's best Palpatine voice.

Means squat in todays game which is pass heavy and orchestrated by NFL big wigs for TV ratings.

If Randy Moss or Jerry Rice were playing today they would be double that.

I disagree because they're both pretty old

The end of that game today was shocking luck for Dallas. Blocked punt that gets deflected about 20 metres forward.....when does that ever happen?
Most teams are not dumb enough to try and recover a blocked Punt

The last time I saw it happen was a few years back and of course it was Dallas. The deflection from the block is fine - it’s the clown who subsequently touches it.

I guess so, but most times the ball bounces backwards. You do see blocked punts returned for a TD, which is probably what the guy was thinking to gather the ball and run it forward.

That guy is the reason why there is a hands team on onside kicks. if you cant pick it up clean dont touch it. There was so much traffic there anyway not like he would of ran it back he likely is tackled right away and then Dallas lost 10 yds or so on the punt

Think there's a few things to this.

Most importantly, I think this was more a reflex than a decision. Ball bounced straight at him, it's more natural to try and catch it then to play dodgeball with it. Especially in a chaotic play like a blocked punt.

For the bolded part, I suspect a lot of these guys think they would pick it up cleanly. No one is stupid enough to try if they don't think they'd get it.

Agreed...he ended up looking bad (and should for dropping it). But as someone who has experienced the worst outcome of touched punts, it may have been harder for him to avoid the ball than field it.

Nah Jerry rice at 62 years old would still get more separation than deebo. Maybe that says more about deebo than Jerry thou.
If he cant he can use the old Ochocinco trick of popping viagra and daring the CB to play tight on him.

Leon Lett, eat your heart out. Can't believe it was over 30 years ago that that famous bonehead play occurred at Texas Stadium on Thanksgiving Day.

Too little too late for the Bengals, but hopefully the team can play spoiler for a couple of playoff contenders in Denver and Pittsburgh to close out an otherwise awful season.
